The Maui Chalet is a unique vacation home in lush tropical Huelo.
Just one property back form the cliffs of Waipio Bay, on its own 2 acre private landscaped grounds it is much like Hana, but at the very beginning of the winding road.
The chalet is only 15 to 20 minutes from Paia and all of Maui's beautiful North Shore beaches, 20 minutes from Makawao, 30 minutes from Kahului Airport, an hour from Hana, and an hour from the major resorts. It is quite central for those who want to experience the entire Island.
Perfect for a family retreat, friends traveling together, or honeymooners

There is 1450 sq. ft. of indoor space with a 650 sq. ft. covered lanai (deck).
The upstairs bedroom has it's own lanai (deck), and from the spacious living-room downstairs there is another lanai which wraps around 3 sides.
The most sheltered side is fully screened with Lazyboy and rocker facing the ocean.
Downstairs you will also find the fully equipped kitchen, dining, and comfortable living areas.
The bathroom has a large slate shower with a great ocean view if the door is open.
There is a a telescope for star-gazing or whale watching (in season), and a high-speed wireless (or not) notebook, DVD's, Tapes & CD's, board games, and ocean equipment, and a small library of books.

Enjoy a hot-tub soak under the stars or catch the sunset in the 30 jet rainwater jacuzzi. Take a hike or pick seasonal fruit from the trees for breakfast.
The large lawn is dotted with tropical palms and fruit trees.... and trails from it invite you to explore the wilder areas....

It is the only vacation rental on the property, and is very private and secluded. A couple of long-time Maui residents own this special piece of Huelo. Computer Consultants, out of sight and hearing, on their own 2 acre parcel, they are readily available by phone to offer information on the area and beyond.

    This is Maui's "Down-country" area, spreading out in all it's wild lush beauty along the majestic cliffs and valleys of the North Shore.
    Although you are now moving closer to Hana, you are still just about 20 or so minutes from the beautiful white sand beaches that surround Paia
    You'll find waterfalls, natural pools, hiking, horse-back riding and more of Maui's natural beauty to enjoy.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Maui Chalet this last winter. Our stay was very enjoyable as the property is beautiful and inviting, the house comfortable, and the property owners very accommodating and friendly. Every morning we woke up to birds chirping or soft rain. Thank you for providing such a beautiful place. We plan on coming back... someday!

Disclosures

This is a Pesticide-Free environment, and it is important to the owners and guests who might be chemically sensitive, or are just looking for a clean environment, that it remain that way.
We ask that you refrain from using insecticides in and around this home.
The bug population can easily be kept to a minimum by cleaning up after you eat, not leaving food out, and taking your trash outside every night.
