Maui's original bed and breakfast, Haiku Plantation Inn, is a step back in time to the simpler and romantic days of Hawaii's sugar and pineapple plantations. The Inn is lovingly restored and provides well appointed accommodations, lush tropical grounds, sweeping lanais, and comfortable spaces for evening chats with other guests. Here, you will easily experience the best of Maui's both worlds : the trendy tourist areas are nearby yet the Inn is located in the small town of Haiku, in a semi-rural and agriculture area known as Maui's North Shore and Upcountry, with a wonderful small community atmosphere, we are still conveniently located with easy access off the Hana Highway just minutes to the best beaches, a shorter drive to Haleakala or Hana, and all Maui activities.

This gracious plantation home, built in the 1870's for Maui's first sugar plantation doctor, retains most of its original architecture and historic grounds, and now serves as Maui's original and truly Hawaiian Bed and Breakfast Inn.

We are within a few minutes walking distance to shops, eateries, hike and crater bike tours, public services: post office & bus depot and of course The Studio Maui.

Two lush acres produce a most magnificent and fruitful garden, loved for generations. Maui's oldest upcountry mango tree, a giant of a tree, welcomes our guests with open arms as you enter the property past the pond and waterfall. Plumeria, haleconia, & bananas all grow wild and mix with a beautiful and fruitful garden.

An initimate Inn with only five guest suites, Haiku Plantation Inn is a large and traditional plantation home. Guests share spacious living, dining and ohana rooms along with our large sun deck, front porch lanai and grounds.

A charming country inn, lovingly restored with its vintage Maui pine floors, tall 12 foot ceilings, and original plantation windows. Our guests continuously remark how enjoyable it is to explore and see this old wonderful home.

Morning breakfasts feature local grown produce, fresh bakery delights, home-made jams, brewed Maui coffee and teas, delicious tropical juices, all served along with our normal continental fare.
The table is set with grandmother's vintage dishes and guests delight in conversation.
It's a great way to begin your day with the wonderful flavors and music of our islands.

Pick your own tropical fruit for breakfast or gather traditional herbal teas straight from our gardens! Your donations assist our ongoing efforts towards our keiki (children's) educational garden.
